After director JJ Abrams dropped off the Star Trek 3 project to concentrate on the Star Wars sequel, Roberto Orci, has also dropped off as a writer and director. Orci has been the writer for the past two installments. He was supposed to be involved in the drafting of the screenplay along with Patrick McKay and John D. Payne. He was even slated to make his directorial debut with the Trek third installment, but dropped off as well. However, Orci will still be part of the project but now acting as a Producer.

Fast and Furious director Justin Lin is now taking the role vacated by Abrams and Orci. "I won't lie, I don't know yet, but the story we are talking about would be awesome, hang in there!" Orci states.

The target release date of Star Trek 3 will be on July 8, 2016, but the filmmakers are still in the negotiation stages of some of the most important roles behind the camera.

The still untitled third installment will have most of the previous film's cast back such as Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana and John Cho as the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701.

Meanwhile, Anna Kendrick gushes over kissing Chris Pine in the movie Into the Woods, playing as Cinderella and Pine as her Prince Charming.

She described the experience of locking lips with the 34-year-old actor as "Cinnamon in a meadow. Dreams."

When asked what his rear looks like in real life, Anna answered, "Taut and covered in blue velvet - in pale blue velvet."
