Kendall Jenner in Dhubai with pals for New Year, shares sexy selfies
Kendall Jenner celebrated New Year's Eve in Dubai with friends Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Shay Mitchell, Devon Windsor and Cody Simpson, Hadid's Australian boyfriend. Just before the clock struck twelve, she uploaded an Instagram post of herself in a sexy dark brown bikini. Captioned, "Dubyeeee 2014," the selfie pic shows the 19-year-old star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians standing in front of a mirror in her skimpy two-piece with matching dark brown nail polish.
Kendall has been sharing pictures of her Arabian adventure with her friends on her Instagram account since Monday, December 29, when they first arrived in Abu Dhabi. Following Islam protocol, and in deference to the strict culture of the land, they were seen wearing the all-black abaya robes while they were visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the first stop in their New Year's Eve week-long holiday in the Middle East. Kendall in particular also had on a modest-looking hijab veil. The 17-year-old Cody, the only male in Kendall's group, was however seen casually dressed in a pair of faded denim jeans, grey T-shirt, black leather motorcycle jacket with matching hat. A photo of the exterior facade of the mosque was taken and uploaded by the reality TV star and model with the caption "Incredible Place." She also posted a photo from a breakfast date she had with Gigi and her boyfriend Cody in which she wrote: "I'm third wheeling HARD."
Another picture of herself posing with about 13 people with the mosque as backdrop was uploaded captioned "Squad."
Another picture of the group of young people, this time at the hallway leading to the place of worship, and this time in smiling, playful poses, however invited sharp criticism from some netizens for being "disrespectful." In October of last year, Rihanna was famously kicked out of Abu Dhabi for posing in pictures in various locations around the mosque which were deemed "offensive." A statement to the press from the mosque authorities regarding that incident read: "In the event of behavior that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations - such as taking inappropriate pictures, posing in ways that are improper in the context of sacred place, talking loudly, or eating - the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilisational and tolerant attributes of Islam."
