Former Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice, is so far said to be surviving in prison.

From the time she checked in to the Danbury Connecticut Federal Correctional Institution early Monday, Jan. 5, she was keeping her head up and is staying "upbeat and positive". And this weekend, she has her family to visit her which she looks forward to.

"Her immediate family can visit her this weekend," Teresa's lawyer James J. Leonard Jr. tells Us of her husband Joe Giudice and daughters Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4.

"She's gonna be just fine," Leonard added of how the star is doing in prison. "She was very strong going into this and that's how I think she'll cope with prison is carrying on with that strength."

It would seem that her 15-month sentence was reduced to 54 days only as confirmed by her lawyer. And this was good news to Guidice and her family.

The reality star's lawyer explained "You do 85 percent of your term. So 85 percent for her is 12 and 3/4 months. Then, you are eligible on that date for halfway house or home confinement for the other 6 months or 10 percent of her sentence."

This means that Teresa will be able to join her family this Christmas.

With regards to her husband, Joe, who will serve 41-months in prison after Teresa gets out is doing just fine and is laying low right now. He spends time with his parents, his in-laws and the kids.
