'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' To Cast Gabriella Wilde As New Elizabeth Swann?

The aristocrat-turned-actress seems to have a flourishing Hollywood career where it is reported that Gabriella Wilde have been shortlisted for a role in Disney's swashbuckling film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

25-year-old Wilde was one of the four British actresses shortlisted by the company to play the role of Elizabeth Swann where it was formerly played by Keira Knightley. She is pitted against 20-year-old Lucy Boynton, Maze Runner's Kaya Scoelario and Game of Thrones star, Alexandra Downling. French actress Jenna Thiam from The Returned has also been asked for a test screening.

A lot are seeing that Wilde will get the role as she is an experienced actress though Express says that the Disney chief's in charge of the production will choose the lucky actress with the best on-screen chemistry with 25-year-old Brenton Thwaites, who is slated to be play an unknown British soldier. The reason for this is yet known as all deep details of the film is kept under wraps.

The aristocrat first appeared in the period drama, The Three Musketeers and the remake of the 1980 film, Endless Love.

If you want to know more about this unconventional actress, Wilde's real full name is Gabriella Zanna Vanessa Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe where she is the daughter of John Austen, grandson of a baronet, and former model Vanessa. The actress is also married with a child named Sasha and had dropped her extensively long family name to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is slated to begin production this year with a target release date by 2017. Johnny Depp will be returning to reprise his role of Captain Jack Sparrow with Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg as directors and Jerry Bruckheimer as its producer.
