Adam Lambert has officially announced that he is working on a new album and it should release in sometime in 2015. He will be working with Max Martin and Johan Shellback, who produced Taylor Swift's 1989

"They (Max & Johan) heard my personal growth, and lyrically, the things that I was trying to say. Long story short, they offered me a deal to be executive producers of this album, and that felt like a big moment." Lambert has previously collaborated with Max and Shellback for his previous hit singles "Whataya Want From Me" and "If I Had You".

"I cannot [reveal any collaborators], but I can say the first single will be out in April," Adam said, but he did share a bit about the project's theme. "I think people are going to be really surprised. The album feels like a new era for me - emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh, it feels new. It's still me. It's still stuff that fans know and love but it's a new chapter 100 percent." The full interview will be featured in the January 24 issue of Billboard.

Lambert parted ways with RCA Records due to "creative differences" last July and signed a new multi-album deal with his new label, Warner Bros. Records.

Adam became a household name when he was on "American Idol" Season 8 in 2009, making it to the finale and ending as runner-up to Kris Allen. He released his debut studio album For Your Entertainment in 2009; it debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 with 198,000 copies in first-week sales, and reached the top 10 in several countries. Its singles "For Your Entertainment", "Whataya Want from Me" and "If I Had You" also became international successes. His second studio album, Trespassing, released in May 2012 and debuted in the number one spot on the Billboard 200 album chart, also topping the Billboard Digital Albums Chart and Canada's Digital Albums Chart.
