'Outlander' Season 1, Volume 1 out On Digital HD; Debuting Feb 2015

Outlander is best-selling series that showcases the history, romance, adventure and science fiction. The adventure based on Diana Gabaldon's international best-selling book has sold more than 26 million copies worldwide and has been interpreted into 23 languages. It was no surprise to see devoted fans overjoyed when they learned about the production of the story by Gabaldon more than twenty years ago. Moreover, now, there is some more good news for the fans as, Outlander: Season 1, Volume 1 debuts on Digital HD Feb. 9, 2015.

Outlander has always relished record-breaking audience numbers and reviews and Volume 1 includes all eight episodes, and the two-disc sets come with special features that will delight both the collectors and fans. The fans can also catch hold of the Limited Collector's Edition that features a 32-page book carrying passages from the scripts and photographs.

The stand-alone Blu-ray and DVD sets include 21 deleted scenes along with two all-new featurettes. Diana Gabaldon shares her thoughts about Ronald D. Moore, the executive producer bringing her stories to life in the first featurette. In the next, we find producers and costume designers shed light on their extraordinary wardrobe and the challenges of creating 18th-century fashion.

DISC 1 is labeled, "Outlander: An Epic Adaptation" and DISC 2 is called "Authentic in Design: The Dresses & Kilts of Outlander."

Outlander has earned Favorite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show title as well as 2015 People's Choice Award. The upcoming episodes of the series will see the characters of the show's lead stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan getting more intense and dark. The action is really going to get geared up, as per the reports. Ronald D. Moore, the executive producer, says that the gap has given the team a chance to refresh the pairing of Jamie and Claire.
