NBC's The Voice Season 7 winner Craig Wayne Boyd's first single 'My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face' debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. This feat has only been accomplished once before - back in 2007 when Garth Brooks' 'More Than a Memory' debuted also at the top of that chart.

On December 16, Boyd was named the winner of the seventh season of The Voice, beating out three other finalists who were all coached by Adam Levine. Boyd was coached by country star Blake Shelton, who has previously also mentored three other past The Voice contenders to victory in the show's seven seasons.

Singer-songwriter Matt McAndrew was named the runner-up, with Chris Jamison at third and Damien at fourth. Damien, Jamison, McAndrew and Boyd all have new singles, all of which are now in the top 10 on iTunes, including Boyd's 'My Baby's Got A Smile On Her,' written by Mark Marchetti, which he performed again after his big win.

The 35-year-old Boyd, a country singer-songwriter with two independent label studio albums to his name and who regularly did opening acts for other established performers, was a struggling musician until he made it in The Voice. Reflecting on his career, he told The Tennessean in early December before the finals: "Probably one of the reasons that I had not had huge success in Nashville yet is because I always stuck to my guns. What's great (about) going to The Voice is I sing those songs that I would want to put on an album, and America loved that. That's what's kept me around, and I'm looking forward to the future."

Boyd, after winning the show and signing with Universal Republic also signed up with Dot Records. His debut album is to be released sometime in 2015. He had his first-ever performance at the Grand Ole Opry on January 3. He will also guest star with the Rascal Flatts on February 25 to March 14 in Las Vegas.
