Frances Bean Cobain and Courtney Love Hugged and Smiled Before Cameras at Sundance

Frances Bean Cobain and mom Courtney Love were all smiles at the premiere of the late Nirvana frontman's Kurt Cobain documentary at Sundance.

Kurt Cobain's widow and daughter shared a warm embrace on the red carpet before the screening of the documentary and it momentarily silenced any drama the two shared previously.

Mother and daughter were said to have not been in speaking terms since 2012. HBO was concerned on what will happen when they both meet in the red carpet and have plans on having them to "stay away from each other" as much as possible. Frances served as an executive producer of her late father's flick.

But it was an overwhelming surprise when Cobain and Love hugged and smiled in front of reporters and cameras.

There was a point wherein the model daughter of Kurt had put her head in her mom's shoulder while they posed with the film's director Brett Morgen.

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is the first fully-authorized documentary about late rocker and has been among the most celebrated films of the early Sundance set.

It contains loads of archival footage as well as new interviews with Love and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic. Drummer Dave Grohl also appears, but only in old recordings.

After the movie, Love tweeted two heartfelt messages to her daughter, who uses the handle alka_seltzer666, along with a photo of them posing check-to-cheek.

"So sad @brettmorgen @alka_seltzer666 so so sad yet so uplifting, beautiful and gorgeous. Your daddy would be so proud of you baby. thank u," Love wrote.

So proud of you Bean.
