Justin Bieber made a surprise an appearance on Wednesday's (Jan 29) episode of Ellen. He showed up to wish her a happy birthday and give her a gift, which of course included some new Calvin Klein underwear.

Justin seemed unusually nervous and shared so as well, admitting this was his first time on television in a while. He opened up about some mistakes he had made in the last year and Ellen brought up the roast that Justin is having on Comedy Central for his 21st birthday. She asked why he would want to do that and he said its good be able to laugh at yourself and get over things that have happened.

After his appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Justin posted a confessional type video to his Facebook page. In the dimly lit video, he shared, "I didn't want to come off arrogant or conceited, or basically how I've been acting the past year, year and a half. I'm not who I was pretending to be." You can watch the video above.

In the Facebook video, he continued, "And although what's happened in the past has happened, I just want to make the best impression on people and be kind and loving and gentle and soft," Bieber said. "And although people can call me a 'softie,' that's how my mom raised me."

Justin Bieber has had a rough 2014, being in the spotlight for everything but his music it seems, but despite that, he keeps putting out new music himself and singing on others songs.

Bieber's latest album HEARTBREAKER that released December 2013 are songs that are said to be more 'personal' to Justin. In his personal life, he has been linked to on-again off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, which seems to be on a indefinite break currently.
