‘Blue Bloods’ CBS Season 5: Donnie Wahlberg’s Danny Reagan and Marissa Ramirez’ Detective Baez’ Next Case Will Involve the Fatal Shooting of a Home Intruder Who Turns Out to be a Hit man

CBS' Blue Bloods upcoming episode 13 for its fifth season which airs tonight, January 30, at 10 pm, is entitled "Love Stories." Directed by Alex Zakrzewski from a script written by Siobhan Byrne O'Connor, the show will follow Danny and Baez as they investigate the shooting by a homeowner of an intruder who turns out to be a known hitman. Also in the episode, a young attorney will be seen as he attempts to bring justice to his mother who Erin put away on a murder charge twelve years ago.

Blue Bloods stars Tom Selleck as New York City Police Commissioner Francis 'Frank' Reagan, Donnie Wahlberg as Detective 1st Grade Daniel 'Danny' Reagan, Bridget Moynahan as Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan, Will Estes as Harvard Law graduate police officer Jamison 'Jamie' Reagan, Len Cariou as Frank's father and retired Police Commissioner Henry Reagan, Amy Carlson as Danny's wife Linda, Sami Gayle as Erin's daughter Nicole 'Nicky' Reagan-Boyle, Nicholas Turturro as Jamie's partner and training officer Sgt. Anthony Renzulli, Jennifer Esposito as Danny's ex-partner Detective 1st Grade Jackie Curatola, Marissa Ramirez as Detective Maria Baez, and Vanessa Ray as rookie officer Edit 'Eddie' Janko.

Guest starring in "Love Stories" include Joseph Siravo as Nicholas Bianc, Kathrine Narducci as Anna Bianco, James Lesure as Alex McBride, Eric Todd as Justin Taylor, Ethan Herschenfeld as Anton Petrov, Angela Pierce as Suzanne Taylor, Nikolas Kontomanolis as Victor Floros, Karina Arroyave as Carmen Thompson, Josh Mostel as the Judge, Mark Morettini as Detective Powell, Kate Rogal as Valerie Traynor, Cosette Rinab as Charlotte Lewis and Merel Julia as Baez's mother.

Blue Bloods' fifth season will comprise of 22 episodes. "Love Stories" will be the 102nd episode of the police procedural drama TV series about the fictional Reagan family, a family of law enforcement officers in New York City, since it premiered on September 24, 2010.

Next Friday's episode, titled "The Poor Door" and airs February 6, will next have Danny and Baez investigating the murder of a lower income resident in a luxury building where 20 percent of the units are made affordable for lower income housing. Also, Frank will be seen taking issue with a detective friend of Gormley's who takes advantage of his position with legal loopholes.
