Counting Facebook Likes Moves to a Higher Level: Facebook Likes Going to Drop

Facebook is undergoing changes as announced by the company just recently.  Before making any negative reactions, they are applying the changes to their business and celebrity pages only.  Blog posts have reported that counting of Likes will now exclude deactivated accounts or those accounts of people who passed away.  This way, Facebook will be able to give businesses a more precise audience since it will eliminate the groups mentioned.

Admins who manage the Facebook Page is anticipating a decrease on the Likes made on the Page because of the update.  This is done to make the users be aware that the dip will be represented from the inactive people still on Facebook.  So those who are managing the Facebook pages should expect the new policy to be making significant changes moving forward.

Facebook also reports that once an inactive account becomes reactivated and the user puts a Like on a particular page, what happens is that it will be included in the tally of total count of likes made.

People who are capitalizing on social media rely on how their business is doing by watching the likes done on their pages.  It only means that the more likes they get, the more successful their business is doing and the more audience they will attract.

This is a good move of plan for Facebook because this change will be beneficial to the businesses with their own Facebook Pages.  This will enable them to have an accurate count on the likes being put on their pages.  This is definitely a popularity indicator that will add prestige to their business.  Business owners will also know what kind of social media audience view and like their products or services.
