Things are beginning to heat up for CW's adaptation of DC's The Flash and it clearly shows on the hype exhibited by the fans during WonderCon. On the event itself, the cast and crew surprised fans with a trailer on what they can expect in the upcoming final episodes of the current season and the green lighted season 2 of the show, Deadline reports.

Fans were treated with hints on what they can expect in the future including the much talked-about Arrow/Flash crossover spin-off series. According to an interview with IGN, the show's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg wasn't able to tell any hints on what would the crossover spin-off will be however he did mention that the planned show will be as equally as exciting as the other two adapted DC shows. "I can tell you that it's going to be cool. It's going to be really cool. Our plan for it is that it's like the crossover [episodes between Arrow and The Flash] every week. On both Arrow and The Flash there are teams in the sense that there is Team Arrow and Team Flash, but to have a team fully comprised of heroes and villains is going to be pretty epic." IGN quotes Kreisberg.

Aside from the trailer, fans who attended were also dropped with spoilers. One of these was the confirmation that Killer Frost will be put into play by the end of the current season courtesy of Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow in the series. Panabaker confirms that Caitlin will eventually (potentially) turn into Killer Frost by the end of the season.

Kreisberg further adds that the show will also be adding new characters by season two including classic The Flash villains, Mirror Master and Dr. Alchemy. He also hints that they may be adding Barry Allen's successor and protégé, Wally West.

Currently, The Flash is on a one-week break before it will dish out the remaining episodes of its first season by April 14 starting with "All Star Team Up".
