Review of "State of Decay: Year-One Survival" Updates and Changes to the Game: For Better or Worse?

Initial review of "State of Decay: Year-One Survival" a few years ago and still played on Xbox 360 stated that there are complaints on how it was being hailed as an ambitious zombie game in the open world with lots of glitches and bugs as per the report of Metro news.

The review even said that even how bad the game was, many people still bought it mainly because of the presence of zombies.  After two years of upgrades done and being available on Xbox One, there were improvements to the game.

The goal of "State of Decay: Year-One Survival" is not to destroy the zombies or escape them but to create a strong base wherein you will operate from there to protect the survivors in your community.  Players will also have to do scavenging of supplies they need to survive without cheating especially this is done in an open world.

Players will also notice that the game really did improve in some aspects but there are also factors which will lead you to believe that it did not improve after all.  Vehicles and weapons alike even degrade with the passing time using them will not boost the morale and your influence on your small group of survivors.

It is known that "State of Decay" is considered as one of the best zombie game that has ever been made with the right ideas but there are still flaws and unsatisfying movements.  Controlling the vehicles also present some problems like handling a sturdy 4x4 truck feels like driving one in a tsunami stricken place.

Overall, the comments do not make it as a game wherein gamers will spend lots of time playing and finishing a mission.  It may not be even worth your time and money.
