Years after the last Jurassic Park film premiered, we find ourselves back to our prehistoric friends in the upcoming film, Jurassic World. Even if the film is focused on a futuristic setting, fans will not be disappointed as Empire Online reports that it will garner a lot of nods to its predecessors and will tie-in closely with the old films.

The highly anticipated sequel to Jurrasic Park will be featuring its meanest attraction yet, Indominus Rex. This dinosaur, according to a report by International Business Times, is a genetically modified dinosaur with a mix of genes from Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Majungosaurus and Rugops and was originally intended to be a whole new attraction to boost visitors. Unfortunately, in true Jurassic nature, everything goes wrong at some point.

Interesting enough, human DNA was also involved in the making of Indominus Rex. According to a speculation by Movie Pilot, the original idea for the film was the concept of human-dino soldiers but it didn't exactly work out.

"This might not convince you but the original writers for this plot insist on having their names in the credits, meaning they must have had some input on the storyline... Is there still human in the hybrid?" International Business Times quotes the website.

Another interesting point in this film is the involvement of the cast and crew. Several cast and crew members have personally contributed ideas as they have seen the first movies themselves. Included in the list are Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and the film's director Colin Trevorrow. Steven Spielberg and producer Frank Marshall also were active in the production of the film.

Jurassic World opens its doors in cinemas on June 2015.
