Every one of us has that inner flick fanatic, and whenever the new year says hello, butterflies go fluttering in our stomachs, eager to find out what movies are in store. This year, let's welcome, like we always do, promising movies that will surely soothe our broken hearts, calm our disturbed spirits or maybe even haunt us for the rest of the year. Read along as we list down 5 movies we all should look out for in 2016.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Even before the clamour for the latest instalment in the "Star Wars" saga has pacified, the promise of an 8th episode is already dropped. Expect another blockbuster following the 7th episode "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," in this spin-off film by Disney. "Star Wars" fans, after learning the list of actors casted in the movie, are eager to know when and where to catch its first-ever trailer. While the previous film's pilot trailer was observed at least a year before it was released in 2015, this "Star Wars" franchise is still a huge wonder for most people, and it's set to be shown in cinemas on December 16, 2016.

X-Men: Apocalypse

Film director Bryan Singer is about to bring another heart-thumping continuation to the critically acclaimed "X-Men: Days of Future Past." In the "X-Men: Apocalypse," Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) reunites with Professor X (James McAvoy) in a need to lead a young team to defeat the world's known greatest destroyer. Apocalypse, the mightiest and first-ever mutant from the X-Men universe, finds a broken Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and several other mutants in his quest to take control over the world. Fox Movies has released the film's official trailer. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to be in theaters by May 27, 2016.

The Legend of Tarzan

Aside from maybe the youngest generation, there shouldn't be anyone living to this day who never knew of Tarzan. This jungle-raised man became a part of most people's childhood; it has several stories and versions from wholesome to sexual. After a long absence, Tarzan is ready to take the world again with his brand new adventures. In July 2016, "The Legend of Tarzan" is scheduled to conquer the movie centres. Warner Bros. spearheaded a creative, wonderfully made site for the "Tarzan" fans, which features the movie's trailer.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Potterheads, get your wands ready because you're about to travel back in time to search for magical creatures that young witches and wizards are to learn in the future. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a spin-off movie from J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series. Focused on the young Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), the movie set in the early New York times is about a hunt for the escaped magical, dangerous beasts that he has brought with him in his suitcase. An American version of the wizarding world is to be discovered by the fans who have long been attached and are learned with the British wizarding community. This first in a trilogy will be released in theaters on November 18, 2016.

Zoolander 2

Fifteen long years of waiting is officially over. The sequel to one of the funniest movies of all times is showing next month, February 12. "Zoolander 2," following the release of the pilot movie in 2001, is sure to make the audience roll out laughing in their seats inside the cinemas as Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), friend Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson) and Melanie Valentina (Penelope Cruz) enter a high-fashion society to stop the rampant assassination of musical artists and the impeding revenge of Derek's long-time rival, Jacobim Mugatu (Will Ferrell). Aside from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, hot news makers like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Benedict Cumberbatch, Demi Lovato and Usher will take part in the film with cameo roles.
