Kate Middleton Celeberates 34th Birthday With No Fuss

Like a true-blue modern princess, many anticipate that Kate Middleton will celebrate her 34th birthday in a lavish fashion. But committing to her simple and elegant style, the Duchess only celebrated her special day in a simple manner. She did not even forget her royal duties; she went to work the very next morning.

Prior to the big day, a representative of the royal family reportedly told US magazine that Kate Middleton and Prince William don't like to make a fuss about the day and would rather have a low-key celebration. It seems that even this low-key celebration was still followed through. The next day, Kate and her whole family, who came to celebrate her birthday with her, attended a church service.

After the said special day, US magazine reported that the mother of two appeared in and attended the morning service in Sandringham, England, at the St. Mary Magdalene Church. The Prince's wife came with her parents Michael and Carole Middleton as well as her brother James and sister Pippa. According to the insider, she's not expected on the said service at all, and everyone was surprised she came.

Pop Sugar also reported that Kate and her husband Prince William also attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial Cross in Norfolk, England, on the same day. Along with her in the ceremony were her family and William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The event marked the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign during World War II.

On the other hand, Kate and Prince William's kids, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, were nowhere to be found since they did not attend the service. This is only the first of the many appearances that the royal couple will make throughout the year. In the Spring, the couple has a trip to India lined up. Earlier this week, it has been reported that the two will also be accompanied by the King and Queen of Bhutan.
