Former "Supernatural" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will do the role of Negan. Negan leads a gang known as the Saviors and carries a barbed-wire-wrapped baseball bat for his weapon. According to Robert Kirkman, creator of "The Walking Dead" comics and co-executive producer of the show, the despicable character's arrival on "The Walking Dead" is going to be a game changer. He is going to be like an atomic bomb that is going to be dropped on the show, and the show will never be the same after that, reports Fashion & Style.

The Saviors are very dangerous and will pose a huge threat to Rick's group. They are dangerously organised, compared to the Hunters from Terminus, who had a lot of weaknesses, and the Wolves, who were psychotics.

"When it comes to the Saviors and Negan, this is a group led by a guy who is a few clicks away from Rick towards the darker aspects of his personality, but is still an intellectual and capable leader who has kept his group alive against all odds just as long as Rick has," Kirkman said. "It's really the best encountering the best. When these two forces come head to head, it's going to be interesting," he continued.

Paul "Jesus" Monroe is another character taken from the comic book series. "He's smart, quick and athletic. He's been surviving on his feet." According to Kirkman, Jesus is going bring a lot to the show, especially some cool stuff, Den of Geek reports.

Kirkman's thought during this time in the series is that the apocalypse has been going on for so long and people around have to be very skillful, and they have been surviving for a reason, whether they stay in a safe place like Alexandria or they are a great leader of a group and somewhat vicious but in control like Negan or they are a real complete badass like Jesus.

With the arrival of new characters and the addition of new twists, there are a lot that fans of the show could be excited about. Catch the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" season 6 on Feb. 14 on AMC.
