Aidan Turner 2017: 'Poldark' Star Special Plaque Gets Several Cheeky Inquiries About Actor's Sleeping Habits, Possible Demelza Visits
Aidan Turner may have left quite an impression on the folks working in Gwel Al Mor Resort in Portreath. The "Poldark" Series 3 star has recently been honored with his own special blue plaque commemorating his stay in the luxury lodges. Needless to say, the resort possibly had its shares of gawkers wanting to see which lodge Turner stayed in while filming Series 2. In addition to that, the Gwel Al Mor Facebook page found itself on the receiving end of rather cheeky questions about their famous guest.
Cornwall Live recently reported about Gwel Al Mor Luxury Lodges' blue plaque honoring Aidan Turner. The outlet pointed out that the honor was usually bestowed on famous guests who have been dead at least 20 years. Not surprisingly, the resort's marketing manager was quick to point out that the "Poldark" star's plaque was made for "a bit of fun" and that it certainly received "a fair bit of attention."
The plaque certainly got plenty of attention from Aidan Turner fans who found an image of it on Gwel Al Mor's Facebook page. A "Poldark" Series 3 fan immediately asked if the resort kept the sheets Turner used during his stay. There were also a few who wondered whether the real-life Ross got any visits from Demelza while he was a guest in the luxury lodges. However, the resort chose not to answer the cheeky inquiries for the privacy of the star of "The Hobbit".
Aidan Turner is currently hard at work on "Poldark" Series 3, but there are no updates on whether the show will be returning to Portreath to film. The air date for the third series has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, fans are already looking forward to what happens next for Ross and Demelza after the release of the show's teaser on YouTube.
