Reality TV star Jill Duggar-Dillard and her husband, Derick, have been the subject of online criticisms after fans claimed the couple has put their son and unborn child at risk. The Duggar-Dillard family reportedly went on several travels recently.

Jill and Derick have a 1-year-old son, Israel David, and recently made an announcement that they are set to welcome another baby- a second boy- soon. However, the Duggar-Dillard family has reportedly resumed their missionary work with baby Israel tagging along.

The couple paid a visit to El Salvador with their son last year to carry out their work as missionaries; recently, they came back to the Central American country that they also call “home” for a longer stay. The Duggar-Dillard family shared a post on their website that caused panic among readers.

“The first few days we were here, amidst the settling in and busy schedule, Israel and I (Jill) were battling coughs and colds and Israel developed a low-grade fever, which we quickly noticed was as a result of an eye infection (he first had this at the beginning of our last time here when he was only 8 months old)," Jill shared.

This post on the Duggar-Dillard family website suggests that Jill and baby Israel have become ill since they arrived in Central America. The “Counting On” star also mentioned that they were exposed to fire ants.

Readers pointed out that the Duggar-Dillard family should worry not only about the bugs but more especially with the Zika virus. According to the Centers for Disease Control, there has been a high number of Zika virus cases in El Salvador, with which the virus is carried by mosquitoes and can bring about birth defects for unborn children.

The CDC already suggested that pregnant women should avoid traveling to most areas in El Salvador. It remains unclear, though, as to where the Duggar-Dillard family is residing in El Salvador, or if Jill is at an increased risk of getting the Zika virus. The possibilities, however, have been many to cause worry and anger among fans.
