Mischa Barton News: Actress’ Lawyer Threatens To Sue Over Alleged Sex Tape

The lawyer of actress Mischa Barton has threatened anyone who attempts to spread the alleged sex tape featuring her client. The tape is reportedly being bid out to several porn companies in Hollywood.

"We will find you, and we will come after you," Mischa Barton's attorney Lisa Bloom said in a statement. "You proceed at your peril." Bloom added that her client may have been a victim of revenge pornography, which she says is a "form of sexual assault" and that her client believes that she was taped by someone she was seeing without her full knowledge.

This comes after British online publication the Daily Mail ran an exclusive interview self-described "sex tape broker" Kevin Blatt. He says that a third party had approached him and gave him a copy of the material.

Blatt went on to reveal that the sex tape featuring Mischa Barton sees the actress wearing a gray hoodie performing various sex positions on a double bed with a man, who he describes as having dark hair and was only wearing a black t-shirt. The video, he says, is currently being shopped around the porn industry at the starting price of $500,000.

Blatt has since written an email to NBC News expressing his speculation that the sex video featuring Mischa Barton may be "stolen property" and that it would be impossible to sell it without the permission from both parties featured in the tape. Laws in the United States, particularly California, District of Columbia and 35 other states, punish those who distribute sexual content without consent.

Mischa Barton has had a rough start to her 2017. In January, she was sent to the hospital so she could undergo a mental evaluation after she was video-taped hanging over a fence and complained about her mother being a "witch." The actress explained that her behavior was because her friends had drugged her while she was celebrating her birthday. She also crashed a U-Haul truck into a carport in West Hollywood by accident in February, according to Fox News.
