'Peaky Blinders' Season 4 News & Update: Cillian Murphy's Thomas Shelby Possibly Set For Knighthood In BBC Series

The third season of "Peaky Blinders" may have ended badly for his family, but there is a huge possibility that Thomas Shelby is destined for greatness. There are speculations that Tommy will end up working with Alfie Solomons in "Peaky Blinders" Season 4. In addition to that, Cillian Murphy's character could get knighted by the end of the BBC series.

Becoming a knight certainly doesn't seem like an obvious next move for Tommy Shelby after the Series 3 finale. However, Steven Knight is looking to see Cillian Murphy's character reach new heights in "Peaky Blinders" Season 4. According to Birmingham Mail, the show creator thinks that this is the natural arc for the storyline.

"The only thing I want to do is for Tommy to be knighted, to become Sir Thomas Shelby for various nefarious reasons!" Knight stated. One could only wonder what will happen when Cillian Murphy's character is set for knighthood in "Peaky Blinders" Season 4.

The new season might be all about Tommy Shelby but fans can also expect to see the return of Tom Hardy. Steven Knight has already confirmed with Deadline that "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 will not work "without Alfie [Solomons]." This could mean that Hardy and Cillian Murphy will be collaborating or going up against each other when the series premieres in October.

CeleBeat has previously reported on the possibility that "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 will air in mid-fall. It has already been confirmed that the series will begin filming in March and will hopefully be completed by summer. With that in mind, the show could be set to return to BBC in late September or early October.
