Prince William and Kate Middleton traveled to Paris, France on Friday for an official visit. This marks the first time that the Prince is in the country since Princess Diana's death.

Upon arrival, the couple immediately headed over to the Élysée Palace, where they were welcomed by French President François Hollande. Prince William and Kate Middleton had taken part in the St. Patrick's Day parade in London, which takes place annually.

For two days, Prince William and Kate Middleton attended a number of events in the French capital. These include a reception involving a number of young French leaders, as well as a formal dinner at Her Majesty's Ambassador's place. Kensington Palace had announced these activities last month.

All throughout the trip, both Prince William and Kate Middleton looked smitten with one another, showing zero signs of any sort of trouble in paradise, according to E! Online. The Duke had stirred controversy a few days earlier when he skipped a family event in favor of a ski trip. He was also caught on camera "dad-dancing" at a Swiss nightclub with several women, which allegedly left the Duchess disappointed and drew humiliation for the Royal family.

Besides the aforementioned activities, Prince William and Kate also appeared at a rugby match between Wales and France at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, which is located outside of the French capital. France had won the game, and both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted sporting glum looks on their faces.

This year is a special event for Prince William and Kate Middleton along with the rest of the Royal family, as it marks 20 years since the death of Princess Diana in a car crash in the same city in 1997. Ahead of her death anniversary, William, as well as Prince Harry, had announced they will install a statue at Kensington Palace's public gardens in her honor, according to Entertainment Tonight Online.
