At this year's Oscars, Ryan Gosling got the giggles during the fiasco at the end of the show and was caught on camera. Now, the actor explains what really made him burst into uncontrollable laughter.

Ryan Gosling was seen by audiences inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and the viewers at home laughing on stage when it was revealed that "Moonlight" had actually won Best Picture and not "La La Land." Many speculated that he was hiding his disappointment that his film didn't win, but he explains that it was down to the relief that something far more serious did not happen.

"I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head," Ryan Gosling said, according to the BBC News. "And then I just heard 'Moonlight' won and I was so relieved that I started laughing." He described the entire situation as "surreal" and saw a group of men wearing headsets going to the stage as if they were tending to someone who got injured.

Despite the fact that his film did not receive the top prize at the Academy Awards 2017, Ryan Gosling assured that he had no hard feelings toward the film that had actually won and that he was pleased with the result. "It's [Moonlight] such a groundbreaking film, made for a million dollars, and incredible achievement and I'm so happy for them that they were being recognized," he said.

During Wednesday's Adobe Summit in Las Vegas, Ryan Gosling also opened up about his thoughts on him now being part of the meme culture, according to People. One of the most popular memes involving the actor that's going viral at the moment is the "Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal" video series. He admits that the popularity of the meme escalated to the point without being followed around by people telling him to eat cereal.
