'Justice League' Spoilers: Superman Set As Major Villain, Not Darkseid Or Steppenwolf? [POSSIBLE PLOT DETAILS]

The latest trailer for "Justice League" has finally been released and fans finally have a better look at Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash. However, one major DC character continues to be mysteriously out of the picture. How exactly will the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe reintroduce Superman this November? There are speculations that the Man of Steel could be the real villain that Batman and Wonder Woman are aiming to defeat instead of Darkseid or Steppenwolf? Has Kal-El's resurrection led to the Kryptonian becoming a bad guy?

The "Justice League" trailer showed off Batman's newest recruits Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash. In addition to that, there are fleeting glimpses at new characters Mera (Arthur Curry's wife), Commissioner Gordon as well as an imprisoned Henry Allen (dad to Ezra Miller's Barry). However, the new teaser shared on YouTube also featured Lois Lane hopefully looking up at the sky. Is it possible that Superman has returned to find his beloved, or will he turn out to be the true villain instead of Darkseid or Steppenwolf?

The possible twist in Kal-El's nature has already been hinted on in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" when Bruce Wayne experienced his "Knightmare" complete with a possible Kryptonite weapon and the attack of the parademons. When Bruce is jolted awake, he immediately sees The Flash saying things like, "You were right about him" and "Lois is the key". Some believe that Barry Allen from the future was talking about the Man of Steel and his possible villainous turn in the next DCEU flicks. Although Steppenwolf is expected to be the Big Bad in "Justice League", there is a chance that evil Superman will make an appearance.

Henry Cavill has already been confirmed to appear in the upcoming DCEU flick (via Instagram) but the actor has yet to be a part of the film's posters and trailers. "Justice League" is scheduled for release on November 17.
