Could ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Get A Second Spinoff? Creator Hints New Spinoff May Be In The Works! More Details Inside

Following the show's eight-season, "The Vampire Diaries" may have aired its final episode last month - but it seems that the story may not be over yet. Just recently, 'The Vampire Diaries' creator, Julie Plec has revealed that could possibly be another spinoff, for either 'The Originals' or another piece of the franchise to be launched at the end of "The Originals." It can be recalled that The CW series' season finale may have indirectly suggested another story for Caroline Forbes' character, who ends up opening a school for supernatural children like her own.

According to M-Magazine, regarding the spinoff speculations, it was found that Caroline got a $3 million donation in support of her new endeavor, only to realize it was the one and only Klaus. Consequently, Klaus' character - now the main stay of TVD spinoff, "The Originals" - can be remembered to have written a note, which seemed to have been an affirmation to Season 4. However, what made fans of TVD more excited is after hearing Alaric say that it was the beginning of another story.

Meanwhile, as per The Hollywood Reporter, while TVD's creator isn't actively working on the spinoff, she reveals that the planning will allegedly start right after she takes a break. In one of her statements, Plec explains that since there's just a lot of thing going on in her head, the first thing that she'll be doing is to not write and take a vacation. On the other hand, Mark Pedowitz, CW Network's president said that the fate of "The Originals" is not tied to TVD anymore, so, with the upcoming seasons, the show could potentially continue on its own.

Ultimately, as for the second spinoff, Pedowitz reveals that he and Julie have had casual discussions about the second possible spinoff of "The Vampire Diaries". However, as of the press time, he hasn't confirmed anything yet. So, if these speculations were proven true, there might just be.
