He is the eighth highest certified music artist in the U.S. with at least 77 million albums sold. Overall, Elton sold over 300 million albums making him one of the most selling artists in the world.

"Candle in the Wind" singer Elton John said that the time is near to retire and focus on his two boys, Zachary and Elijah and legal husband, David Furnish. The 70-year-old English Crooner said that there are times when he is not in the mood to go out and perform anymore, suggesting that old age is seeping in. He said that looking at his family makes him feel good and happy and he wants to spend the rest of his remaining life with them. He added that a decision will be made in the next six months, Radar reported.

Sir Elton John has a lot of things up on his sleeve in his retirement days to come. He said that he will not vanish completely from the spotlight as he will focus his retirement days in the curation of his outrageous outfits. Elton John loves to give a jolt to his audience when performing with his out of this world costumes.

The legendary Elton John cited his age as a hindrance to his performances. Also, the popular singer is not afraid and more daring to share what he has to the world, his sexuality included. In 1976, "Your Song" singer Elton John admitted his bisexuality and later came out of the closet in 1988 pronouncing that he is gay, Celebrity Insider reported.

"The Rocketman" singer has scheduled performances in The Colosseum, in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 25 to May 5, 2017, in Rabobank Arena Theater, Bakersfield California, April 22, 2017; In Twickenham Stoop, Twickenham, UK, June 3, 2017 and in Derbyshire County Cricket, Derby, UK on June 4, 2017; In Genting Arena, Birmingham, UK on June 7, 2017 and more concerts up to July 14 in various parts of Europe, Song Kick reported.
