But ZaNessa shippers suddenly got their hopes up when earlier reports revealed that the "Baywatch" actor may still have feelings left for his ex. However, a new report claims that the former Disney star already has a new love.

Rumor has it that Zac Efron and his "Baywatch" co-star Alexandra Daddario may have taken their friendship to the next level. Whispers and speculations revealed that the duo maintained a close relationship even after the shooting for the 2017 action-comedy film already wrapped up.

Although the duo are very much single right now, Zac Efron has had his share of failed relationships. With that said, the 29-year-old actor and singer is not rushing into things when it comes to the romance department. The "Baywatch" actor was in a long-term relationship with fellow "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens, and he and model and entrepreneur Sami Miro broke things off back in 2016.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens crushed everyone's teenage dreams when they decided to end their relationship in 2010. Despite their failed romance, fans have never lost their love for the former Hollywood "it" couple. Rumors then began swirling that the "Baywatch" actor is still not over Austin Butler's girlfriend.

While Zac Efron wanting to be with Vanessa Hudgens again may spell good news for their shippers, this remains to be just a rumor for now. As a matter of fact, the "Spring Breakers" actress revealed that she and her ex are not in speaking terms anymore. "Oh yeah no, that's not a thing that happens," she told Access Hollywood Live. "No, I completely lost contact with him."
