The fifth season of "Vikings" has officially wrapped and it looks like the show's air date will be announced soon. But which characters have survived in "Vikings" Season 5? Katheryn Winnick may have confirmed that Lagertha and at least one of Ragnar Lothbrok's sons will make it to the sixth season. Does this mean that other characters, including Ivar the Boneless, will be killed off in the History series?

Morgan O' Sullivan recently spoke to IFTN, where the "Vikings" executive producers confirmed that the new season will wrap filming by May 8. O'Sullivan also shared that it took one entire year to complete "Vikings" Season 5 and that the show was shot in Ireland, Iceland and Morocco. Although it sounds like the series is finally ready to air, it is important to point out that there is still plenty of post-production work that needs to be made. Hopefully, the first half of the fifth season will premiere soon and an air date could be announced later this month.

The cast of "Vikings" Season 5 certainly appear to be happy that filming has been completed. Katheryn Winnick has just shared an awesome photo on Instagram showing the actress with her co-stars celebrating the wrap. The picture features Winnick alongside Jordan Smith, who plays Ragnar Lothbrok's son Ubbe, as well as Jennie Jacques, the woman who portrays King Aelle's daughter Judith. Aethelwulf's sons Althered and Alfred (Darren Cahill and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) are also in the image with Halfdan the Black (Jasper Paakkonen) and Bjorn's wife Torvi (Georgia Hirst). So does this mean that the people who aren't in the photo have been killed off from the series?

It might be too early to tell whether the only surviving characters are in Katheryn Winnick's picture. After all, the cast has been spread around in various locations so the image possibly only shows the actors working in Ireland. "Vikings" Season 5 is set to premiere later this year.
