Chris Brown and Drake Call a Truce, Sources Say

Chris Brown and Drake have called a truce, Page Six reported Wednesday.

The two music stars have been involved in a long standing feud for many years over their shared ex, Rihanna. In 2012, the two men engaged in a brawl at Soho nightclub W.I.P.  in New York. Many people went to the hospital because of injuries. However, at the recent iheartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, a truce was brokered.

Sources said that Drake attended the festival to see Brown perform.

"Drake came on Friday with his whole crew, and watched Chris' entire set," a source said.

Def Jam music exec Abou Thiam was the alleged mediator. Thiam is one of Brown's manager and reached out to Drake. According to sources, Thiam is "very friendly with Drake, and worked to try and get him and Chris together to put their differences aside."

Neither Brown or Drake has publicly commented on their rumored truce. However, Brown recently told JET magazine that he was angered that the media was still giving him a hard time. Brown opened up about his professional and personal struggles since he assaulted Rihanna in 2009. He was placed on four years probation and community service. He avoided jail time, but has faced scrutiny since then.  The 24-year-old singer told the Oct. 14 issue of the publication that he felt the media was out to get him.

Brown also said that rapper Jay Z had been forgiven for his transgressions. He highlighted that Jay Z plead guilty to stabbing record executive Lance "Un" Rivera outside of a New York City nightclub in December 1999.

"No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs," Brown said. "He gets a pass."
