Chris Brown: Why Does Jay Z 'Get a Pass' for 'Stabbing Somebody' and 'Selling Drugs'?

Chris Brown is lashing out at his critics and wondering why Jay Z has been excused from his indiscretions in the latest issue of JET, E! News reported Friday.

Brown opened up about his professional and personal struggles since he assaulted Rihanna in 2009. He was placed on four years probation and community service. He avoided jail time, but has faced scrutiny since then.  The 24-year-old singer told the Oct. 14 issue of the publication that he felt the media was out to get him.

Brown also said that rapper Jay Z had been forgiven for his transgressions. He highlighted that Jay Z plead guilty to stabbing record executive Lance "Un" Rivera outside of a New York City nightclub in December 1999.

"No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs," Brown said. "He gets a pass."

Brown also compared himself to Trayvon Martin. The unarmed, 17-year-old was shot by George Zimmerman in February 2012. Race was believed to be a motivating factor in the slaying. Zimmerman was acquitted in July.

"I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism," he said. "This generation is so used to racism that it's normal; we don't care. We aren't on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as n---as."
