Daniel Craig is dubbed as the best modern times James Bond and he left a large shoe to fill for his replacement. "Man of Steel" Henry Cavill is by far one of the most appropriate candidates for the MI6 agent.

Henry Cavill has ben reported to gaze at the role of James Bond since last year. Furthermore, according to GQ, he is among the shortlisted candidates to play the character that was created from Ian Flemming's novel. Other candidates are two actors from "Thor" Loki's Tom Hiddleston and Heimdall's Idris Elba, along with Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy.

The 33-year-old actor was one of the two final candidates in 2005 to play James Bond in "Casino Royale" with Craig. However, he was a young actor at that time and producers preferred to have a more mature Bond. So, Craig who was 37 years old had the role and played for four Bond movies.

Now, as Henry Cavill has reached his 30's, he will be suitable to play James Bond. Moreover, he has the experience of playing a spy in the "Man from U.N.C.L.E" as Napoleon Solo. Daily Telegraph also considers him as the suitable candidate.

Cavill is currently under contract with the DC Comics and Warner Bros to play as Superman in the DC Comics Extended Universe franchise. He has been praised for successfully portraying Superman and Clark Kent in two movies, the 2013 "Man of Steel" and last year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Last year in the "Graham Norton Show" on BBC One TV he told the host Graham Norton that he was still interested in playing the character of James Bond. Despite his busy schedule as Superman, Henry Cavill said, "If there were any windows and they wanted me to do that kind of role it would be great and I would love to do it.”
