Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi has taken the spotlight following the release of reports claiming that the couple is working on their marriage after going through difficult times. The TV show host reportedly got into a couple of heated arguments with her wife, as overheard by the staff members of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

According to an insider of Life & Style, these crew members have overheard the fights between Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. “Ellen hates that. She never wants people at work to know about her personal problems,” the insider revealed. “It was a huge wake-up call for her.”

As a means of addressing these issues, the couple has been going to a therapist for the past weeks. At times, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi go in solo for counseling, but there have been instances when they attend together as a couple. “Part of their therapy is to go on more date nights. That’s why they’ve been seen out and about more together lately,” the insider added.

Caught on camera, the pair was spotted holding hands during a pre-Oscars celebration party in late February in Los Angeles; they were also seen shopping together along Melrose Avenue on that same week. According to the insider, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are busy working separately but are still making efforts in spending quality time as a couple.

Last year, the comedienne opened up about the divorce rumors, telling People Magazine that she is thankful for every blessing in her life, including her wife who she calls her best friend. “I can’t imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world,” the “Finding Dory” star said.

Meanwhile, Ellen has been prepping up to sell one of her residential properties- a mansion within the Santa Barbara area with a selling price of $45 million. As pointed out by Sotheby’s International Realty, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi do not have the time to take up space and use the mansion for themselves. According to the Business Insider, the couple has already bought and sold a number of high-priced houses in Southern California.
