The new “Power Rangers” movie premiere brought together the original cast members as they posed on the red carpet. During the worldwide premiere of the new film on Wednesday, the original cast from 1993’s classic TV series titled “Might Morphin’ Power Rangers” stood together to show their support for the movie.

Austin St. John (who portrayed Jason Lee Scott aka the Red Ranger), Walter Jones (Zack Taylor aka the Black Ranger), David Yost (Billy Cranston aka the Blue Ranger) and Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver aka the Green/White Ranger) were all photographed for the new “Power Rangers” movie premiere. As they stood with each other, they took on the fan-favorite “it’s morphin’ time” pose, as reported by NME.

Amy Jo Johnson, who played the original Kimberly Hart aka Pink Ranger, also graced the “Power Rangers” movie premiere with her presence. However, her constant pal in the past, Thuy Thang, who also played Trini Kwan aka Yellow Ranger, was missing; at 27, she died in a car accident in 2001.

Helmed by Dean Israelite, the new “Power Rangers” movie reportedly cost $100 million to create and features brand-new cast members, including Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger) and Ludi Lin (Black Ranger).

The latest “Power Rangers” movie has also drawn attention for featuring a Yellow Ranger as the first superhero on the big screen who is openly gay. It was revealed that Trini has been coping with girlfriend issues.

“A lot of these issues that these teenagers are dealing with are real issues. It's OK to be who you are. It's OK to love yourself,” Becky G told Hollywood Reporter as she commented on her character. The new “Power Rangers” movie is the first film reboot following the release of two “Power Rangers” films in the mid-1990s, titled “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: The Movie” and “Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.”
