"Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal updates are quite scarce despite expectations among viewers that there would be some good news months after Disney Channel announced the end of the series. In an earlier interview with The Wrap, showrunner Michael Jacobs shared that he is in early talks with "some interested platforms."

Back then, Jacobs said that he is expecting to hear some updates on the "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal "sooner rather than later." Jacobs added that a decision on whether to pick up the show or not may come out in the next three or four months.

However, four months have already gone by and no word is out on the "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal. Netflix has already confirmed that they will not be picking up the show following its cancellation on Disney Channel.

Jacobs admitted that while he is optimistic about the "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal, he has a backup plan in mind. According to the showrunner, he plans to share his planned ending for the show via a Twitter post.

Meanwhile, a mini "Girl Meets World" cast reunion has recently taken place. Just Jared Jr notes that Ava Kolker, Cooper Friedman and Ceci Balagot, who played Ava, Dewey and Smackle respectively, reunited at the Say No Bullying event in Los Angeles.
