Travis Fimmel Named 2016 Most Handsome Australian Actor, 'Vikings' Season 5 Alum Beats Out Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman
Fans are still disappointed with the possibility that Travis Fimmel will no longer be a part of "Vikings" Season 5 but that doesn't mean that he is completely out of the radar this year. Fimmel has been named Most Handsome Australian Actor of 2016 in a poll where Ragnar Lothbrok won the title by a huge margin. The "Warcraft" lead even beat out Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Hemsworth as well as the real Wolverine Hugh Jackman.
Travis Fimmel is certainly an attractive man who has once managed to cause traffic. After all, a huge billboard of the former Calvin Klein underwear model allegedly had to be taken down for distracting drivers with Fimmel's, ahem, assets back in the early 2000s. That may have been several years ago but the "Vikings" Season 5 still has what it takes to make people swoon. Fimmel dominated the votes for 2016 Most Handsome Australian Actor, leaving Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, Simon Baker and Alex O'Loughlin in the dust.
The poll for the best looking Aussie stars was conducted by Best Of The List back in December, but the contest only ended this April. Travis Fimmel is officially the Most Handsome Australian Actor with 2,569 votes. Second place went to Simon Baker, who got 1,474 votes while "Hawaii Five-O" star Alex O'Loughlin placed third with 1,324 votes. Hugh Jackman only got 259 votes and Chris Hemsworth of "Thor: Ragnarok" trailed at 189 votes.
Travis Fimmel is more than just another pretty face. He is set to work on a History TV series following Wyatt Earp's adventures and is currently shooting a short film with Lena Dunham in New York, as per CeleBeat. "Vikings" Season 5 is expected to premiere (hopefully with a Ragnar Lothbrok cameo) later this year.
