It's no surprise that people have been absolutely excited with the planned "Vampire Chronicles" TV series. After all, Anne Rice herself will be taking charge of the show and will have full creative rights as to how the adaptation will be cast and written. So has Rice found the perfect actor to portray her beloved Lestat? There are speculations that the author's previous favorite Stephen Amell from "Arrow" is no longer in the running to play the Brat Prince. Has Rice changed her mind about the real Oliver Queen?

CeleBeat has previously reported on Anne Rice posting a photo of Stephen Amell wearing a blond wig and going all fangirl about how the "Arrow" actor looks like Lestat. Although fans were uncertain about Amell even being a remote choice for being "too manly", the "Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis" author promptly defended the actor by stating that she always envisioned the Brat Prince as a manly character. But is it possible that Rice has decided not to cast Amell as Lestat in the "Vampire Chronicles" TV series?

There have been no updates about the casting of Lestat in the highly anticipated show just yet. Anne Rice has neither denied or confirmed on whether she has already contacted Stephen Amell to take the role of the Brat Prince. Unfortunately, this has led to speculations that the author has her eye on a different actor. Nevertheless, there is hope that there will be news about the "Vampire Chronicles" TV series soon.

Variety has just confirmed that Anne Rice will serve as one of the show's executive producers. Anne's son Christopher Rice will then be the main writer and showrunner for the "Vampire Chronicles" TV series. In addition to that, all 11 novels of Rice's book series have been optioned for use on the show. It was not revealed whether Lestat has been cast or if Stephen Amell is still being considered for the role of the Brat Prince.
