Netflix To Announce ‘Sense8’ Renewal In June: Network Locks In Contracts With Core Cast Members

"Sense8" is fuelling up speculations that Season 2 will serve as the series finale following Brian J. Smith's post on Twitter. While the actor encouraged fans to make some noise if they wish to see a third season, it looks like Netflix will be releasing its decision by June, as the network has already locked in contracts with the show's main cast.

"Sense8" Season 2 renewal is expected to be released by June, an earlier report from Deadline shows that Netflix has already secured contracts with the core cast till next month. At the time of writing, the publication notes that half of the eight leads have already sealed the deal with the online streaming service.

They were also optimistic that a "Sense8" Season 2 renewal would happen given the trouble that Netflix has gone through just to ensure that the core cast will return for a potential third season. Many fans were starting to worry that the second season will be the series finale following Brian J. Smith's response to a fan on Twitter.


Fans are starting to make some noise to secure a "Sense8" Season 2 renewal using the hashtag #RenewSense8. Along with the hashtags, fans are posting reasons for the show's renewal, including the fact that it is one of the few shows on TV that promote the LGBT community.

The main "Sense8" Season 2 cast is composed of Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Brian J. Smith, Toby Onwumere, Tina Desai, Max Riemelt, Tuppence Middleton and Miguel ángel Silvestre. The second season of the Netflix sci-fi drama took almost two years to premiere on Netflix, so fans should expect for some updates in the coming months.
