Katheryn Winnick has certainly proven that she is a real-life warrior by playing the former shieldmaiden-turned-Queen of Kattegat Lagertha in five seasons of "Vikings". However, all that badassery actually runs in the family. Winnick has just confirmed that her two brothers will appear in "Vikings" Season 5 and that older brother will portray King Angantyr. In addition to that, it looks like Lagertha could get even more powerful in the History series.

CeleBeat has previously reported on the possibility that one of Katheryn Winnick's siblings will play a large role in "Vikings" Season 5. The star of "The Dark Tower" had posted an Instagram photo with her two brothers, confirming that they all shared the same frame during filming. Winnick also added the hashtag #KingAngantyr, which could be the name of the character one of her brothers will play. Luckily, the woman who portrays Lagertha has offered more details about her brother's casting in the series.

Katheryn Winnick is currently the cover girl for Real Style magazine (via Instagram). In the accompanying interview, the "Dark Tower" actress proudly spoke about her brothers being a part of "Vikings" Season 5. "My older brother got cast as the king on his own merit," Winnick shared, adding that she wasn't aware that her sibling auditioned for the role. In addition to that, her younger brother "is doing stunts as well." There is little doubt that the Winnicks will get into plenty of action in the upcoming season, but it looks like it will be Lagertha who will prove to be the most successful Northwoman in the series.

In the same interview, Katheryn Winnick confessed that she was flown to Sweden to get some necessary research on the role she will play in "Vikings". Interestingly, she got help from an archaeologist who had found a gravesite for what appears to be an important Viking leader. Although the skeleton found in the honored grave was initially believed to be a king, it was later discovered that the corpse was that of a woman. It is possible that Lagertha is destined for the same greatness in "Vikings" Season 5, which is expected to air later this year.
