With actor Chris Evans starring in the new film “Gifted,” fans have been thinking of what the “Captain America” star will be like when he starts a family and raises his own children. In the Fox Searchlight movie, Chris takes on the role of a boat mechanic named Frank Adler, who raises his prodigy niece, played by McKenna Grace.

As a single man raising the child prodigy Mary in Florida, his plans for an average school life for the girl are hampered when Frank’s mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), threatens to put an end to Frank and Mary’s relationship.

As reported by E! Online, Chris Evans opened up about having to instantly come up with tears while filming the movie. "Crying on cue is a tough thing to do, but I tell you what there is no better catalyst than this little nugget over here," Chris shares about his 10-year-old co-star. "She is so good and so honest. Those tears start rolling, you would have to be pretty heartless to not get emotional."

Chris Evans also shared about being inherently prepared for his role as a dedicated uncle. The 35-year-old actor shared how he spent a lot of time with his big family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews.

With the idea of family, Chris Evans himself admitted that he looks forward to becoming a father in the future. As pointed out by Daily Mail, the Boston native recently called it quits with actress Jenny Slate, and opened up about how a busy schedule puts a strain on relationships, especially among actors. “Letting someone go to work with someone for three months and they won't see them. It really, it certainly puts the relationship to the test,” he explained.

Chris Evans and Jenny Slate did work together on the set of “Gifted,” as the actress took on the role of McKenna’s teacher; award-winning actress Octavia Spencer also joined the cast as Frank’s neighbor. Directed by Marc Webb, “Gifted” is set to premiere on April 12.
