‘Homeland’ Season 5 Premiere Will Time Jump Two-and-a-Half Year after Season 4 Finale

When Homeland season 5 premieres in September, it will be set two and a half years after the 5he events seen during the final episode of previous season and it will be taking place in Europe, with Claire Danes' Carrie Mathison no longer an intelligence officer according to executive producer and director Alex Gansa during last week's Paley Fest session at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Claire Danes gets nominated for a Golden Globe though Homeland season 4’s finale was rather disappointing

As Homeland season 4 wrapped up last December, fans are left disappointed with its rather slow finale. The episode entitled “Long Time Coming”, old characters, such as Dar Adal, returned while new character were also introduced such as Carrie’s mother, Ellen Mathison, played by Victoria Clark. Aside from that a few twists were also thrown in such as the revelation that Carrie has a brother.
