Adam Sandler fans and Netflix viewers alike are ecstatic to find out that the comedic superstar is broadening his movie deal with the streaming company. Netflix announced last Friday that it will be producing four more films with the actor to be enjoyed by viewers at the comfort of their own homes.

Netflix has over 90 million subscribers all over the globe, and Adam Sandler is the first Hollywood movie star to skip cinemas and premiere his latest features at home. Three years ago the streaming service collaborated with Sandler's Happy Madison Productions for a four-movie deal which included "The Do-Over" and "The Ridiculous" per Rolling Stone. These two have turned out to be the most-watched original films. They're expected to hit Netflix come April 14.

A Perfect Combination

Ted Sarandos of Netflix lauded Adam Sandler in a statement, reiterating he's one of the leading comedians in the movie industry. His films have proven to be highly successful with their subscribers worldwide. They're thrilled at the opportunity to be working with the actor for the long haul. He wants them to continue working together to keep the whole world laughing per CBS News.

Apparently, the feeling is mutual when Adam Sandler voiced out his own sentiments about the partnership. He loves working with Netflix and how passionate they are about making films for the world to see. They make him feel like family and he thanks them for their support.

It turns out Adam Sandler is not the only one getting on the movie streaming bandwagon. This year, Netflix will be expanding its original movies with the likes of "War Machine" (Brad Pitt), "Okja" (Jake Gyllenhaal), and the Sundance feature "Mudbound" which are generating a lot of Oscar buzz. These movies will premiere on Netflix with very limited to no distribution in cinemas.
