Shemar Moore's Derek Morgan in "Criminal Minds" is known to be the muscle of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. He was the one who chased down the UnSubs (Unknown Subject) and the first one to kick doors. His incomparable love for his team and his platonic relationship with the BAU's tech analyst Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) are the main reasons why fans love him. All these came to an end when Moore decided to depart from the show, leaving fans heartbroken.

However, the poignant moment is short-lived when CBS officially announced that Shemar Moore is returning to "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode finale. Deadline reports that Derek Morgan comes back to BAU to help the team solve a case of a serial killer dubbed as Mr. Scratch. Fans rejoiced upon learning the news and while his appearance in the show is coming closer, Moore has teased his role in the finale.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight via Facebook Live, Shemar Moore said that leaving "Criminal Minds" was one of the hardest decisions he has ever made. Howbeit, Moore said that he doesn't have regrets because he is a dreamer and he is proud of everything he has achieved. He went on to say that after a year of being away from the series, he still feels that it was just like last week that he was there.

"It was home, it was family, it was so familiar. And we just got right into it with the acting and the comraderies and the jokes," Shemar Moore told ET. Asked whether there is a chance that fans can see Derek Morgan again in "Criminal Minds" regularly, Moore said that he is open to the idea and he would love to come back. However, he said that in Hollywood, it doesn't work as easy as that.

Shemar Moore also teased that Derek Morgan is certainly not going to die in the season finale. For fans, this is already great news, especially that he is open to making a comeback to the show. Nonetheless, everyone will get to see him again when "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale airs on May 10 on CBS.
