Majin Buu fell into a ritual sleep and won't be awakened for two months, leaving team Universe 7 missing another warrior for the "Dragon Ball Super" Tournament of Power. Despite the team members' protests, Goku visits Frieza in Hell to have him in the team and asks Fortuneteller Baba to temporarily resurrect the former emperor. However, an unexpected turn of events happens that gives fans a glimpse of Frieza's ruthless power.

When the Gods of Destruction in Universes 4 and 9 learned that Frieza will represent Universe 7 in the "Dragon Ball Super" Tournament of Power, they both come up with a secret plan. Quitela and Sidra plan to wipe out Universe 7 before the ultimate battle royal begins, where they send assassins to Hell to take down Frieza. When Goku and Frieza prepare to leave, the assassins try to stop the former emperor's resurrection but Frieza is a no pushover.

Over on YouTube, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 94 showcases Frieza's golden transformation after his body went soft in Hell. As the assassins try to attack them, the former emperor of Universe 7 shows his best and kills all of them. He even sarcastically apologizes to his soon-to-be casualties for not slaying them with ceremony. "Don't hold it against me," Frieza says.

However, "Dragon Ball Super" spoilers suggest that Frieza might betray Universe 7 and would proceed to join Universe 4 instead. According to Celebeat, while the former emperor enjoys a killing spree against the assassins, Quitela, the God of Destruction of Universe 4 is secretly watching them. It is said that he plans for something more evil to have Frieza in his team, leaving Universe 7 missing another fighter.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 95 titled "Emergency Again! The Last Warrior is HIM?" sees Frieza's betrayal and Goku's visit to the former bandit and Bulma's ex-boyfriend, Yamcha. Experts suggest that the episode's title is referring to Yamcha, whose been waiting for Goku to recruit him to join the Tournament of Power. There have been hints as well that the "Dragon Ball Z" fighter will make his way to the series to replace Frieza.
