This past Sunday HBO's hit series "True Blood" returned with a bloody bang. Viewers tuned into to see what the consequences were for the Bon Temp gang after a rough and tragic season four finale.

A new promo for the "weeks ahead" of season five promises viewers that they can expect nothing less than drama, trouble and blood. So what do the spoilers show our favorite Bon Temp crew has in store for them?

Tara

At the end of the season five premiere, "True Blood" fans saw a very dead Tara rise from the grave after being turned into a vampire by Pam. Judging from this new clip, Tara is not adjusting very well to her new eternal life.

"We should have left her dead," a frightened and heartbroken sounding Lafayette voices to Sookie. The Bon Temps waitress doesn't agree, retaliating that "Tara is in there." A crazed look on Tara's face and the sound of screams prove otherwise though, as Pam can be seen telling Tara that "no human can hurt you any longer."

Tara doesn't seem to remember (or care) who her friends were, because the clip shows Tara attacking not only Sookie, but her cousin Lafayette.

Bill And Eric

Fans of the series have seen bits and pieces of the Vampire Authority, but season five looks like they will be playing a big part. On Sunday night Bill and Eric had a run in with the Vampire Authority, who after a brief escape with the help of Eric's "sister," were recaptured again.

"Coexistence with humans is not an option," Christopher Meloni can be heard saying in his new role on "True Blood" as Roman, a member of the Vampire Authority. "It is a necessity."

The weeks ahead show that Bill and Eric might spend a great deal of time inside the walls of the Vampire Authority, and while it appears they won't make it out unharmed, it is unknown whether they will make it out at all.

Sookie

With the death of Tara, the murder of Debbie, and the kidnapping of Bill and Eric, Sookie doesn't look like she has many friends to turn to this season. A preview shows Pam even kicking Sookie out of Fangtasia, threatening to "suck her dry."

"The only way to crawl out of this whole is to start doing right," Sookie says to Lafayette.

"Oh yeah baby, you survive. You always do, but god damn do you leave a trail of bodies behind," Lafayette replies.

Jason

In the season premiere Jason had a visit from the newly turned vampire, and former leader of the Fellowship of the Sun, Reverend Newlin. Their brief encounter was pretty bizarre as Newlin expressed his love for Jason, and got into a physical altercation with Jessica over him.

The season preview shows Jason starting to put the pieces together on vampire violence over the years.

Alcide

Last season Alcide killed Marcus, the wolf pack leader. This season he will have to suffer the consequences, as he is threatened by the other wolves, more specifically Marcus' wolf mother.

Jessica

After breaking up with Hoyt and sleeping with Jason, Jessica has some major love triangle issues on her hands this season. Besides that, the new clip also shows her in two physical altercations. One with Reverent Newlin (who I guess doesn't get the hint that he can't have Jason), and the other with the newly turned Tara.

While the almost two minute long clip reveals a lot about the upcoming season five of "True Blood," the HBO series is known for its twists. The second episode of season five airs this Sunday.
