Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Beyonce and Jay-Z, is only five-and-a-half months old, but the little lady has already had some big honors bestowed upon her. Being the child of music royalty surely has its perks, like being the youngest person to get on to the Billboard charts or being one of the most anticipated celebrity births. Now, honorary citizenship in Hvar, Croatia has been granted to Blue Ivy.

While Beyonce was pregnant last summer, her and Jay-Z took a vacation to Croatia where in a video the couple spotted a tree that appeared to be blue ivy.

"I think it's Blue Ivy, which would be quite appropriate," Beyonce said in the video.

Since the very popular birth of Blue Ivy the mayor of Hvar is hoping that her birth will bring media and tourism attraction.

"The story of the origin of your girl's name, Blue Ivy, has brought huge media attention and great tourism promotion to the town of Hvar," Mayor Pjerino Bebic wrote in a letter. "I have decided to grant your daughter the status of honorary citizen of the town."
