Is A Wedding In The Future For ‘Vampire Diaries’ Stars Ian Somerhalder And Nina Dobrev?

"Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev definitely share some on-screen heat, and as fans know, they also share some off-screen romance. Is Somerhalder, 33, and Dobrev, 23, ready to walk down the aisle though?

According to OK Magazine, Ian Somerhalder is "desperate" to marry his co-star...but don't expect a wedding just yet.

"Ian is 10 years older than she is and more than ready to make it official," a source revealed to the magazine. "But he said that he understands her need to wait a little longer."

The young brunette beauty explained to her beau that she wants to focus on her career before starting a family. Dobrev reportedly even threw out a number at Somerhalder in how long she wants to wait before getting married -- 5 years.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder met on the set of their CW series "The Vampire Diaries." Rumors started circulating in January that the actor had asked his co-star for her hand in marriage, but Somerhalder denied them to Access Hollywood.

"It's not true," he explained. "If it were true, I would admit to it, 'cause getting turned down builds character!"

"I'm a career woman and a young, very driven woman and I've got a lot to accomplish before I settle down and have kids and do any of that," Dobrev had said back in January when questioned about being engaged.

The couple has been caught canoodling all over the world, from a trip to Paris to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California this past spring.

"She truly enjoys life," Somerhalder said of Dobrev back in September to Us magazine. "Her desire to experience and appreciate everything around her, and chuckle and enjoy it, is great."
