Over the last few months, former Disney actress Amanda Bynes - who has always been a media darling has been spiraling out of control. With a few fender benders, drug allegations, suspicion of a Dui, and a recent charge of misdemeanor hit-and-run under her belt, could it be that the actress is suffering from some sort of mental illness?

According to reports from TMZ, it's likely. On Monday, Bynes allegedly locked herself in a boutique in West Hollywood for nearly two hours. When repeatedly prompted to exit by a store clerk, she refused, shouting, "I need more time." When the actress finally emerged from the dressing room, she was still wearing some of the items she was trying on, then at the realization, decided to pay for them.

"I was so worried about her." one of the clerks allegedly told a customer. " I didn't know what she was doing in [the dressing room]. I didn't know if she was overdosing, or doing drugs or what."

In a separate incident, which TMZ reported occurred last Thursday, Bynes was allegedly spotted at Equinox gym having a conversation with herself and several inanimate objects. According to a bystander, the actress would have sudden fits of laughter while on the elliptical machine and repeated the odd behavior several times during the session. She would start "laughing hysterically for no reason," said the source, who claimed to have seen Bynes on several occasions over the last few months and that her condition is "deteriorating."

Bynes' neighbors have also confirmed to seeing her attempt to have conversations with inanimate objects. Their claim for not interfering is because of her high profile.

On September 11, Bynes was photographed driving and smoking from a contraption resembling a pipe. Just this Sunday, she was pulled over by authorities for aimlessly circling an airport's parking lot on a suspended license.
