Kerry Washington plays the tough-as-nails, highly intellectual crisis manager, Olivia Pope, on ABC's political thriller, "Scandal" but admits she has absolutely no political aspirations.

The 35-year-old beauty claims she will, "Never ever. Never, never, never, never, never, never!" run for office. "I'm in the administration now and I'm very honored to serve and to serve in an appointed position," she explained, " but running for office is something I am not interested in in any way shape or form."

The actress revealed that the show eclipsed her entire summer. Many fans approached her with one specific question, a question which left many "Scandal" fans in abeyance during last season's finale -- Who is Quinn Perkins?

"[Quinn Perkins] represents my whole summer because all summer long people were walking up to me saying 'Who is Quinn Perkins!?' in supermarkets, airports...It was so much fun! Luckily I didn't know [who she actually is] at the time because I don't know if I'd be able to keep it a secret for that long!" she told People Magazine.

Viewers will get to breathe a sigh of relief because according to Washington, Perkins' identity will be revealed on the show's Sept. 27 season premiere

"Right away in the season premiere we address it," said Washington."However I will say in true Scandal style once you learn who Quinn Perkins is then you have about seven more questions."

Washington's character is based on real life crisis manager, Judy Smith - who served as the former deputy press secretary for President George H. W. Bush."

"To be a crisis manager you have to be very calm," smith revealed in an interview with WJLA, but staying invisible has become a job in itself since "Scandal" aired. "It's hard to be invisible now, but I'm still gonna try, but it's hard!" Smith said.
