‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 4 Spoilers: A Potential Elena And Damon Moment At The Miss Mystic Falls Pageant [VIDEO]

Get out your gowns and suits "Vampire Diaries" fans. When the hit CW series returns this October the Mystic Falls gang will be once again competing for the title of Miss Mystic Falls!

Viewers will remember that the previous Miss Mystic Falls pageant held in season one didn't exactly go too smoothly. Caroline was not yet a vampire and thought that Elena had the pageant in the bag since both her parents died. Meanwhile, Elena's heart just wasn't in the pageant as she worried about Stefan, and ended up having a sweet moment with Damon.

Fans will get to relive the pageant (and drama) in the seventh episode of season four, reports Zap2it.com. According to the site, Caroline will have some duties to perform as the previous winner, but will struggle with it due to a couple distractions -- Klaus and new vampire Elena. Zap2it reports that Klaus is still hell bent on snagging Caroline away from Tyler, and that besides his constant wooing, Elena and Caroline are going to have a "rare clash."

Even better than the Tyler, Caroline, Klaus love triangle and the Elena vs. Caroline fight is that Zap2it teased a special moment "that mirrors a top fan-favorite scene from season one." So what exactly is that fan-favorite scene? A dance between the two!
In the season one Miss Mystic Falls pageant Stefan was slightly off the deep end on human blood, forcing Damon to step up to the plate and be Elena's escort as she made her debut in Mystic Falls. While Elena worried about her bailed date, Damon calmly took control of the situation, performing the Miss Mystic Falls waltz with Elena in a really sweet "Delena" moment.

So, does this spoiler of another possible dance between Elena and Damon this season mean that hope still remains for the two to get together...despite her choosing to be with Stefan last season?

Fans will just have to wait to see how Elena's heart changes as she transitions into Mystic Falls newest vampire.

"The Vampire Diaries" returns to the CW on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m.
