Tim Tebow Breakup: Is The Jets QB Miserable In New York?

After reports of Tim Tebow's breakup with girlfriend Camilla Belle surfaced this morning, Jets fans are wondering if the devout QB is planning a move away from New York.

You see, Tebow's breakup comes only one day after Jets coach Rex Ryan said he would bypass Tebow, replace Mark Sanchez and use Greg McElroy instead. It's been widely reported that Tebow feels he's been treated poorly by Jets coach Rex Ryan. Week after week this football season, Sanchez lost games while Tebow sat on the bench. Loss after loss only put salt in the wound, confusing Tebow and his fans.

Ryan didn't explain why he was bypassing Tebow this week. Instead - as the outspoken, controversial coach often does - he spoke in a vague way that infuriated fans even more. "I can answer this question a million ways - frontward, backward, sideways, anything else," Ryan said late Tuesday in a press conference. "It's my decision and I based it on a gut feeling or whatever. Everything it comes down to is, I believe it's the best decision for our team. That's the only factor that goes into these decisions." 

Tebow and Belle were first spotted getting cozy at the end of October, when they went bowling with friends at Latitude 30 in Jacksonville, Florida, Oct. 30. "They were grabbing kisses and holding hands,"a source told Us Weekly at the time. "He put his arm around her a few times."

The source said the dashing-and-devout QB "was a true gentleman, helping her on the stairs when they went to the arcade area. ...They were having a great time together," the source adds.

But from the beginning the 25-year-old QB and 26-year-old actress seemed like a strange pair. Though Tebow was linked to Taylor Swift and Dianna Agron in the past, later reports refuted those stories. Tebow has been outspoken about the fact that he is a virgin and - based on evangelical ideology - is saving himself.

As a consequence, many tough-talking New Yorkers felt that the devout Christian was a poor fit for a city that's left-leaning both religiously and politicallly. Tebow seems to agree these days - and we can't imagine that his breakup with Belle will make him any happier.
